ECTA Scholarship Program

The Evanston Community Tennis Association (ECTA) awards annually two $500 scholarships to Evanston Township High School (ETHS) tennis team members—one to a senior boy and one to a senior girl—who have demonstrated excellence to their team, in their school and in their community. Excellence is measured by a combination of athletics, leadership, academics and community service.

Applicants must be current registered students in good standing at ETHS, be a member of the boy’s varsity tennis team, be a high school senior, plan to attend an accredited college or university and submit a completed application packet. Qualified students are asked to submit a short application and a typed essay of 450-500 words explaining how their involvement in tennis has impacted their life. Also required is a completed recommendation (in the form attached) from the senior’s tennis coach, a high school faculty member or other third party.
