Events

The ECTA hosts five tennis events a year: the Spring Doubles Round Robin, the Fourth of July Tournament, the Fall (Singles and Double) Tournament, the Thanksgiving Doubles Scramble, and the Winter Doubles Scramble. Our events are not USTA-sanctioned, so a USTA membership is not required for you to participate, and entrants may come from any city or state. Join the ECTA for the opportunity to participate!

2015 Spring Doubles Tournament

We had a nice turnout for the spring doubles tourney. In the men’s draw the Milligan brothers Earl and Derrick were a solid contingent and came through with a 10 – 2 victory in the final over John Broderick and Dennis Hoezle. In the mixed final, Deb Cassell and Joe Zabat prevailed over perennial favorites Gail Wilson and Randy Robbie 10 – 6.
The format is round-robin 8-game pro-sets in stage one. Teams are placed into brackets of 4. Teams play three matches for each group.
